A little bun in the oven. A little guy sleeping in there, right under his mama's heart, getting ready to come into the world and be celebrated and loved in his family. It was such a pleasure to capture some images of this last bit of time before Elijah's arrival with his mom and dad. Lola and I talked beforehand about how they wanted a warm, personal and romantic feel to their session in their home. I loved the feeling of closeness between Lola and Bill, and know that their love will be overflowing when their precious boy arrives.

I love doing maternity sessions. It is so fun to be a part of the excitement of a new baby who will arrive soon. It also means that soon I will get to play with a newborn...one of my favorite things.

Every time I asked Bill to kiss his wife, he happily complied. I love, love the look on her face, just sweet contentment.

Another cuddling one. I threw everything out of focus except for their hands on Lola's tummy. I know they can't wait to get their hands on their little boy.

Ummmm, is it even okay to look this glamorous and put together at 37 weeks?

I loved this idea that they had...Lola with a hand knit blanket from Great- Grandma. They were saying that she has worked on 34 or 35 of these for all those little greats that have been born in her family. What a precious heirloom! You will sure see this blanket again at Elijah's newborn session.

That evening light was so beautiful and gave everything a warm cast.

A fun, new way to spell out his name. We had to send Bill out of the room so he wouldn't make his wife laugh and jiggle those letters off her tummy.

With parents like these, this will be one good looking baby!

Then, at the end , we did a few more with a classic look.
