January has been a nice month for me. I've been catching up on a lot of projects that I've had floating around in my mind for a while. I've had some time to read and rest a bit. Whereas sometimes this wintery month with shorter days can make me feel a bit of cabin fever, I'm trying to get cozy and nest a bit while I work on our home.
Usually I don't take a ton of pictures in January but this year I've been trying to break out of my comfort zone and try some things which I haven't before. One of them is shooting in the fog. When I was picking up Ruby from school this past week, I grabbed my camera and we headed to the local park. She's always game to let me play with her and I told her I'd have it done in ten minutes. It actually took nine and I am so pleased with what I got. These images are clean and very simple. I'm working on incorporating some more negative space in some of my pictures and there's nothing like a field of fog to help with that.
She's growing up and it's on days like this that I can catch a glimpse of the young woman she's becoming. How I love this girl of mine.
