I'm hoping that we blew Daphne's expectation away for this family session. Recommended by their friends (which is my favorite form of advertising by far!), they said they have never done family photos like this before. Daphne said that she was hoping for just one good family shot. I think we got a lot more than that :). I love family sessions, which are such a fun way to document the relationships between everyone and to get some good images of everyone, including the camera person in the family. Jeff and Daphne was so awesome at playing around with the kids, bribing the two-year-old and going with the flow. It's always the best way for parents to go. I had a blast with them. The kids were so responsive and they were really easy. Not to say I didn't need my caffeine at the end...as I did get a little crazy to get some genuine smiles from the kids but it's always so, so worth it. We started out at their house. Immy brought out her favorite library book and her wad of yellow playdoh which followed us along for most of the morning.
Gavin is running close to the same speed as my boys, with a love for lego and building and a fun sense of humor. What a super guy.
It's truly the two year old that gets to call the shots.
Then we went out to the local beautiful park. The weather was gorgeous and the local bagpiper was providing us with some strong background music.
Though I love to catch a range of authentic emotions, I sure do love it when I get get a belly laugh image. What a face!
This monkey too.
Immy needed a bit of a break while I started with Gavin and Jeff. Daphne dug into her purse for a lollipop for the hardworking girl. She then decided to photobomb the father-son picture.
We had to jump on the bridge and dodge the bikers and runners.
Thanks for a super morning! I really enjoyed visiting with you as we walked around and your kids were awesome. Hopefully you can choose more than one to put on the wall :).
