I'm not going to lie. We were all sweaty and breathless by the end of this family photo shoot :). This family is very near and very dear to our family. They live about a mile away, we go to church and school together, and we both have a girl and three younger brothers (though now they have us beat with one more awesome sister and a puppy too!). We swap babysitting nights, playdates and advice. Denise and I try to sneak away for pedicures when we can and one time the girl who was taking care of us said at the end, "Listening to you is like a radio show! You have some crazy lives!" We laughed because we do and we know it. Eric and Denise have been so loving and generous towards our family and have loved our kids in a way that makes my heart overflow with the blessing of friendship and community. What a gift. We did this session almost two weeks ago, on a day when it also worked for three sets of grandparents and Eric's sister, Amy, to come as well. What a fun crew!
At a local park, we did some of the family groupings and everyone was a great sport.
Korban poised to catch Mousie who I was throwing in an effort to keep the boys engaged.
You can tell they have some fun together.
Hello, genetics! Think Denise has the same beautiful smile as her mom?
And then, because I know she'll enjoy some photographic proof of the craziness too, I've added a few "in betweens".
Climbing the later right after she touched some new puppy doo-doo and wiped herself hurriedly so she could get in the playground shot, wondering if I'd lost my mind.
The chaos that is Finding A Spot.
Then as the park, Malakai grabbed Mousie and tossed him into a watery death. Eric heroically rescued him, did chest compressions and while we all laughed, Malakai picked him up and threw him in again. So. Very. Malakai!
We are SO, so blessed by your friendship!
